Today was my first focused two-workout day.  It was going to be a brick workout with a 12-mile ride and a 3-mile run.  Unfortunately because the workouts are still indoors, so I had to breakup the workouts.

I don’t base any performance goals on these workouts.  The treadmill and bike trainer do not provide real-world scenarios.  “Speed” and “time” are irrelevant to me on these workouts.  I would like to say distance is my benchmark, but that isn’t true either.  I just try to find a happy medium between total workout time, distance, and perceived effort.

This workout was really just to get some miles in.

I forgot my heart rate monitor for the ride.
